Assistant Manager-Legal

Job Profile

 

Responsible for managing the lease agreements including the following:


• Conducting title searches at the relevant land registries at Colombo and outstation where required
• Maintaining search notes, obtaining volume/folio references etc. where required and drafting title reports
• Drafting lease agreements, coordinating with internal parties, landlords, Grama Sevakas, payment of statutory dues to the relevant regulatory authorities
• Attesting and execution of the lease agreements and thereafter having the same registered at the relevant land registry
• Forwarding the duly executed documents to the relevant parties to the agreements

 

Responsible for all litigation matters in relation to the organization including the below:


• Filing proxy
• Filing papers (i.e. plaint, answer, replication, petition, affidavit, written submissions etc.)
• Coordinating with counsel
• Appearances in court (all types) for all calling dates, trial/argument dates etc. and ensuring the interests of ESL are duly communicated to counsel and safeguarded
• Liaising with counsel and Etisalat and attending consultations where required
 

Candidate’s Profile


• Should possess a degree in Law from a recognised university/Attorney- at- Law
• Notarial License in Sinhala and English , preferably all island 
• Should possess minimum  3-5 years of relevant experience in a law firm or commercial environment
• Excellent communication skills in English and Sinhala both written and verbal
• Good knowledge in computer with the ability to type in English and Sinhala
• Should possess excellent analytical and problem solving  skills
• A resilient individual with the ability to multi task

·         Advance Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunications OR an equivalent qualification

·         Good knowledge in GSM/WCDMA systems and MW communication

·         Knowledge in computer networking (MPLS) will be an added advantage

·         Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment, with minimal supervision

·         Ability to interface with customers, as well as internal personnel, using good verbal communication skills

Job Profile

  • Responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, optimization and enhancement of wireless telecommunications networks
  • Responsible for the RF Network Planning / Optimization of projects.
  • Plan radio network to fulfil customer requirements and to  support commercial strategy of the company
  • Conduct survey, design, and plan and identify suitable locations of base stations.
  • Identify and propose capacity expansions to cater growing broadband capacity requirement
  • Handle customer complaints and prepare technical strategy to improve customer experience

 

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university
  • Knowledge in the fundamentals of GSM /WCDMA/LTE systems.
  • Should have a good understanding of engineering concepts, and must show aptitude and desire to learn and advance in a technical field.​
  • Hands-on experience in the areas and tools of network optimization will be an added advantage.
  • Should be able to work well in a fast-paced changing environment and able to work under pressure

Executive - Fraud Prevention

Job Profile

 

  • Effectively contribute to plan the investigations of the Fraud Management Team along with own investigation assignments with the supervision and direction of the Manager – Fraud Prevention.
  • Conduct effective investigations, under the supervision and guidance of the Manager – Fraud Prevention; on alleged fraud, irregularity or misconduct by securing the evidence at the standard of a criminal litigation having analyzing records, interviewing witnesses and subjects, attending in Courts/Tribunals/Mediation Boards when required to give evidence. 
  • Report the findings and recommendations upon analysis and submit the reports through the Manager – Fraud Prevention and appropriate Heads of Internal Audit and Assurance for the consideration and reference by the Senior Management.
  • Liaise with the middle management and the senior management in conducting investigations and discuss the findings together with recommendations in order to address the identified risks.

 

Candidate Profile

 

  • Possess a Degree in Business Administration, IT or equivalent.
  • Excellent development skills in IT especially in the areas of SQL, Java and Visual Basic are a must.
  • A part qualification in CIMA/ICASL/ACCA/CMA and HND in Telecommunication will be an added advantage.
